Dakhla - Kitesurfing in Dakhla

Dakhla main lagoon

This is the main area around 25Km North of Dakhla town.

Speed Spot

To the East of the main lagoon and around the peninsular at Dakhla Attitude is Speed Spot. At high tide the water level approaches the road to the north. This area is about 4Km across, and super flat as it is so shallow the wind does not have chance to turn it into waves.

Secret Spot

At low tide there is no water, but as it begins to rise it is super flat, stretching out to an area of sea grass where flocks of flamingos congregate. Only slightly downwind is the White Dune, so you could easily head over there and back.

The White Dune

The White Dune or La Dune Blanche as it is known locally is the main tourist attraction in the region and the ideal place to end a downwinder kitesurfing trip from the main lagoon.
