I have only got a one week sample so far in July, but the wind is relentless! It has been blowing pretty much 24x7 and the forecast is for it to continue like this as long as the forecast extends! Most days it has been around 18-20 knots with gust around 26-30 knots. I have had my 9m kite set on the high wind settings and fully depowered and only just hanging on 😂. Wishing I had a 7m kite with me. I am here for another 5 weeks so can report back on how consistent the wind does turn out to be...

Dakhla wind update: After 14 days of 25+ Knts winds, possibly gusting up to 35 Knts occasionally the wind finally paused for a day. In very light winds there were just two people foiling who had the whole of the main kite lagoon to themselves 😁. Today the wind has started to pick up again with most people riding 12m kites, and the forecast says that normal service will resume tomorrow...

End of August update. The wind has been a bit mixed for the last two weeks. Some days with little to no wind, then yesterday was crazy with 35+ knts. The majority of days I would stick to my 9m, but to be able to kite most days I would probably need to pack a 7m and 12m too. There are very few people foiling, so on light wind days with the right kit you would have the lagoon almost to yourself!
