![]() I am currently on my way to Dakhla from Gibraltar and decided to split the journey up by staying in Casablanca. This seems to be a bit of a mistake as I have not been overly impressed with Casablanca, but for reference the journey is extremely easy. There are regular ferries from Tarifa to Tangier, and also a regular Bullet Train service from Tangier to Casablanca covering around 200 miles (330Km) in 2 hours. Royal Air Maroc flys daily from Casablanca to Dakhla for round 95 Euros and apparently does not charge for surf gear (I will report back later), so even with the more expensive first class bullet train and not haggling much with taxi drivers the total cost comes in at under 200 Euro total. |
![]() Update from Casablanca airport. Royal Air Moroc do not currently charge for kitesurf equipment although I did have to argue my point having just had my kiteboard and harness wrapped at the airport as the counter assistant could not tell that it was a kiteboard it might just have been something else the same shape 😆. Also note, there is very little to do in the domestic departures lounge. |
